Costa Rica

We saw lots of monkeys in the jungle...and we fed them coconuts.

Our friendship bracelets.

We went on an awesome zipline and tarzan swing deep in the jungle.

We rode a little boat out to this island to snorkel (the best snorkeling we have ever seen) we even saw some pretty big reef sharks swimming around.

I guess it was one last vacation with just us before the baby comes.

My classroom

Well, I got hired on as a special ed teacher 4 days before school started this year. I have never been so stressed... but with a lot of help (thanks to jess for decorating my room) I have survived the first 2 weeks and counting down. I have 13 students ranging from 1st grade to 4th grade and only 2 aids (so if anyone is bored come volunteer in my class!) The kids are really cute and once i can get organized and used to managing my own classroom i can't wait to relax and work one on one with the students more.

26.2!

Sam and his sister, Kristen
Sam, Kristen, and his Mom

Sam with his friend, Trent Tipton
I love his fanny pack!

Sam ran the St. George marathon in October and he did awesome! He trained really hard all summer, I don't know how he stayed motivated. He woke up at 5am every Saturday morning to do his long runs. I was not jealous!

Viva Las Vegas!!

Thirsty?

We went to Las Vegas with my family to enjoy the beautiful Wynn Hotel and see David Copperfield. My dad and I were actually part of the show... I made a tissue dance with my finger (amazing) and my dad disappeared off stage.

St. George!

If you ever go to St. George go to the Anasazi Steakhouse, it is soooooo gooooood! You cook the steak yourself on a granite slab. It's kind of stressful trying to get your meat perfect though.

We finally got to go to Firehouse in Vegas! It's a restaurant that was in Sam's mission and he has been talking about it for the last three years. I won't lie, I was skeptical that it wouldn't be as good as he talked it up to be, but it was! Go there if you are in Vegas.

We ran a 10k while we were down there so that we could qualify for the St. George Marathon in October that Sam thinks I'm going to run. We'll see!

Rascal Flatts Concert

Sam surprised me with Rascal Flatts tickets for my birthday. To tell you the truth I was more excited about Jessica Simpson than Rascal Flatts. It was a lot of fun, but our seats were right behind these psycho girls who would not stop screaming and hyperventilating every time they saw Rascal. He's cool, but it's not like he's Jennifer Anniston. They were really good in concert, just like their CD.
